Cover Reveal & A Giveaway!

Hello friends!

Hope you had wonderful Christmas and New Year celebrations. Today, we are celebrating another cover reveal of my friend and editor, Amber Stokes’ book. What a way to begin the year! Isn’t that great? This cover marks the third book in the Heart Springs Series. You can see the cover for books #1 and #2, and also the review for book #2 here and here.

And now, I present to you the book cover for Morning Glory, Heart Springs Series, book #3. Ta dah!

Isn’t it pretty? I think it is. If you’ve been following my blog and you guessed that this awesome cover design job was done by Lena Goldfinch, you’re absolutely correct! You can learn more about Lena below. You can check out the blogs for  Morning Glory and the Heart Springs Series and keep with news of the book and series here and here.

And for my favorite part of any cover reveal—you know it!—unlocking the mysterious thousand words hidden in a picture!
Three colors stand out—white, blue, red. (American flag, anyone? Okay! Britain and Australia too. Haha!)

The general look of the picture is powerful, even though each color appears soft to moderate, but at the same time, rich. Altogether, they send a strong message.
The blue gives the impression of a world that is cold and lifeless—an ice world. The redhead beauty is found standing right in the middle of this world. Her skin is almost as white as her dress. Perhaps she has been in this loveless world far longer than she wanted? However, her face—her eyes, though cast down—is not without hope. There’s a hint of a smile that comes from a heart that dreams and holds out faith and hope that they’ll come true. The way her fingers delicately hold the Morning Glory flowers intensify this impression—dreams that perhaps, one day, she’ll be truly, wholly loved and accepted for who she is, inside and out?
Now, here comes the best part of the picture!—there seems to be a light that is cast down on her from the heavens; the light is mostly around her head. It appears as though a new day (or beginning) is dawning. It is clear that the light is breathing life into this cold and lifeless world like a miracle. The mountain behind the redhead beauty that was once swallowed up by the blue, lifeless world starts to emerge a rich red under the light. Hope is finally being realized, so it is no wonder that the redhead beauty appears to glow under this light. Truly, there is a glory coming with the dawning morning.
Haven’t read the blurb or book yet, but we’ll see.

Dear friends, Amber is hosting a giveaway of a set of four Morning Glory note cards from Cindy Lindgren, and lavender & copper flower earrings from Jaye L. Knight!

Please, bear with us that this giveaway is limited to U.S. residents only. Visit Amber’s blog here, to join the rafflecopter giveaway for a chance to win these lovely gifts!

  1. Great thoughts on the cover design, Miranda. You’ve always got fabulous insight and opinions. Great to read your post. 🙂

  2. You always have such awesome thoughts on covers, Miranda! Thank you for taking the time to dissect Morning Glory’s. 🙂 I hadn’t really thought of the red, white, & blue thing – but it is there, isn’t it, in different shades? How cool! With my love for U.S. history and the Western setting, it fits. 😉 I can’t wait to learn more about Felicity’s (the heroine’s) character, myself, as I write her story! And of course Myghal… Can’t wait to write more about him! 😉

    Thanks again, my friend!

    • Thank you for the kind words, Amber! I guess the colors do fit. And I’d forgotten I’d learnt from pinterest that the heroine’s name is Felicity. I can’t wait to read her story. I’m even more curious because of Myghal—he deserves a love story.

And you are most welcome! It was my pleasure joining in the cover reveal. 🙂
