Historical Romance

4 Stars

The Sound of Emeralds marks the conclusion of the Steadfast Love Series, and a fine finish it was! The struggles of Dirk and Gwyn—personally, and as a couple—are brought to light, of which the most paramount, was learning to trust each other. The odds that faced their marriage even before it started proved to be a trial that tested their love for each other, but ultimately brought them to a precipice and place that showed their steadfast love for each other.

The literary skill of Miss Rea is delightfully Shakespearean with a tint of mildness and confidence, showing the uniqueness of Rea’s lovely writer voice. This is the stuff that quotes and banners of our day are made of!

If you’re so inclined to discover a new author of historical romance that will make a lasting and pleasant impression, as well as broaden your figurative horizon, Rea’s Steadfast Love series is your ticket to such an endeavor!
