Urban Worship

Release Date

4.5 Stars

There’s an atmosphere to the manner in which the first song opens, which invites the listener to pay attention and join the artists in opening their hearts to receive from the Lord. The vibe is so contagious, it spreads throughout the entire album; there couldn’t have been a better opening than the We’re Ready song for God’s Chosen album! The passion in their voices and hearts collides with the music—instrumentals, lyrics and all—to produce fantastically creative blends of melody that promise a classic nature which could last throughout time and be enjoyed by all ages and inspire all peoples!

Indeed, as the opening track suggests, we’re ready for [more of] Jesus…and God’s Chosen! Smiles!… You can’t stop listening to the album without doing so, and nodding your head too.

There’s something about the overall tempo—easy and pleasing!—just the right pace for a regular day, which makes it so soothing.

*Though I offer this review to the public, it is my opinion and simply that. My gratitude to Lance Brown, GM, DREAM Records, for a free copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

About God’s Chosen

“Our self-titled album successfully intertwines the impassioned worship of Christian Contemporary music with the grit of Gospel music. Influenced by artists like Kari Jobe, Hillsong United, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Lauren Daigle, Jenn Johnson, Israel Houghton, and Travis Greene, this album is filled with worship anthems and singable praise songs catering to both churches and individuals. We hope to bridge the gap between genres and provide a worship experience that truly reflects the fullness of God’s Kingdom.”
