Review

Softly, beautifully, Teresa Peterson’s voice, heart, and songs invoke a calm and joy that let’s you know she receives from Jesus what she offers her listeners. The urban country-like tune, with a hint of pop and acoustic, produces a blend of music that is fantastically soothing, and at the same time, danceable. The lyrics are a revelation of a heart full of praise, faith, and trust in God, which also invites others through music (and apart from it) to do the same.

Faithful is a beautiful album that shows that Peterson’s intent is to point people to Jesus.

About Teresa Peterson

Teresa’s journey of faith and music began in earnest when she felt a call from God at 16 years old saying, “I desire for you to sing for me and for them.” Through her music, she openly shares the struggles she has faced in this walk and the deep truth of God’s continued faithfulness. Her refreshing honesty and vibrant music inspire hope and courage for what is to come.

Her newest EP, Faithful, communicates the joy found in waiting for God’s triumph. Sonically, it is a joyful, powerful, and upbeat ‘summer worship’ album. Robert Venable (Stars Go Dim, Twenty One Pilots, Kelly Clarkson) and Jake Jones (As We Ascend, We As Human) teamed up for the production. Songs and lyrics are a beautiful collaboration between Teresa and several notable writers and musicians (Leo Ahlstrom, Jake Jones, Dana Catherine, His Own).

Teresa is a worship leader, speaker and singer/songwriter based out of Philadelphia, PA. She has played a number of major festivals and conferences (SXSW, NCYC, Abbeyfest) and opened for national acts Sidewalk Prophets and Stars Go Dim. Teresa has led worship for Encounter MinistriesHeart of the Father Ministries (Unbound), The Culture Project, and worked with national speakers Fr. Michael Gaitley (33 Days to Morning Glory), Archbishop Chaput, and Relevant Radio’s Fr. Richard Simon.  Her second Christian EP, Faithful, led to Teresa being featured on New Release Today‘s ‘New Artist Watch’ for June 2018 (Culled from official website).
