Review

“The stars that shine the brightest, are the ones that live the shortest lives.”

I Still Believe, the love story of Jeremy and Melissa Camp is anything but tragic. In a paradoxical sense, it is softly poignant in pointing out the awesomeness and beauty of God’s wisdom in awarding each of His children with destinies that shine brightly, uniquely, and extraordinarily. Contrary to what is portrayed in the world today, visibility isn’t everything, and it certainly has no bearing on relevance in the grand scheme of life.

There are many tearful moments in this story, as there are joyful and humorous. Family. Friendship. Romance—are few of the amiable and applaudable values that standout, and they all come together to paint a beautiful picture that portrays God’s hand present in every detail in the lives of His children.

As much as it is dreamy to go with the words, “some stars shine brighter than others,” it is more inspiring to go with Melissa’s words, “All stars shine”—and there lies the message in I Still Believe: ‘If you’re a child of God, you’re a light in the world. So shine. It doesn’t matter if others have more visibility and appear to shine brighter than you. All Stars Shine! If your story can change one person’s life, it’s enough. You never know how God will use it, directly or indirectly to impact the world.’ For Melissa, she directly impacted Jeremy, who went on to tell their story and impact the world with beautiful songs written with heaven-inspired lyrics, songs born from a season of love and pain, a path that would later lead him to another love, Adrienne.

A wisely, thoughtfully, and beautifully put together story by the Erwin Brothers.
