Album Review ~ Irwin’s Christmas Collection By Matthew Parker

Category General/Mixed Genre Electronic/Pop/Christmas Rating 4 Stars Review Matthew Parker’s Irwin’s Christmas Collection is an interesting EP with an edge, with each of the four songs being a distinct number in it’s own category—from the hilarious Mistletoe Meltdown to the speedy 12 Days of Christmas, to the thrilling Carol of the Bell with a James Bond vibe and danger element, to the worshipful Kindle that tells and honors the birth of Christ, there’s never a dull moment start to finish. Parker’s boldness in exploring multiple themes with his music presents a Christmas treat with delightful results. For something special, something different, something fun, but with the Christmas spirit, Parker’s new drop is a ticket to such an experience. *Though I offer this review to the public, it is my opinion and simply that. Much appreciation to DREAM Label Group GM, Lance Brown, for a free copy in exchange for my honest opinion. About Matthew Parker Matthew Parker grew up in a small town in Michigan. He wasn’t especially interested in music as a kid, but …

Album Review ~ DREAM Christmas Vol. 4 By Various Artists

Category Religious/Christian Genre Holiday/Christmas Release Date November 1, 2019 Rating 4 Stars Review In this fabulous come-together by DREAM’s artists to celebrate and usher in the Christmas spirit, though ultra modern, the songs do a fine job of remaining true to the authentic message of Christmas—ultimately, that Jesus came, Jesus saves, and God is with us. It’s not every version of the classics that endears, but Switch’s Joy opens the volume beautifully, setting the tone for the entire album. The songs that follow, like Joy, prepared with a twist of urban and pop, produce a fresh taste that won’t easily be forgotten. DREAM’S Vol. 4 is an album whose repertoire can span multiple Christmas events—a party, church service, personal worship, etc.—and deeply satisfy. *Though I offer this review to the public, it is my opinion and simply that  A ‘thank you’ to DREAM Label Group and Lance Brown, DREAM GM, for a free copy in exchange for an honest opinion.  About DREAM Christmas Vol. 4 From the bottom of our hearts we wanted to say …

Album Review ~ Who You Are By Northwood Worship

Category Religious/Christian Genre Urban/Electronic Pop/Praise/Worship Release Date October 25, 2019. Rating 4 Stars Review Who You Are opens with Bright, an anthem of faith and hope for a future that’s in God’s loving and powerful hands. The rhythms are paced beautifully with the instrumentals to allow them to be easily heard and followed. Nothing about the songs is in a rush or too slow; the emphasis is on the deep meaning—and the experience that comes with it—embedded in the seemingly simple lyrics. Who You Are is an album that portrays faith and hope for better days to come, by trusting, loving, and focusing on God and His unfailing love. Who You Are inspires absolute surrendering worship born from this certain hope that is evident in the lyrics and overall music. *Though I offer this review to the public, it is my opinion and simply that. Much appreciation to Lance Brown, GM & Senior Partner at DREAM Label Group, for a free copy in exchange for my honest opinion.  About Northwood Worship Northwood Worship is the …

Album Review ~ United By Newsboys

Category Religious/Gospel Genre Pop/Rock Rating 5 Stars Review The album opens with the song, Greatness Of Our God, a song that joyfully shouts of God’s power and awesomeness, and the joy of having it all within and about us in full display and glory. The combined force of Michael Tait and Peter Furler, the two frontmen, (coupled with features of Kevin Max and Doug Weier) is a dream come true for every longstanding Newsboys fan. The unity in song and heart paves a way for love that inspires on many fronts—worship, brotherhood, and life in general; a love that says that unity on any level inspired by the Light of God and blessed by Him in worship of Him, is possible. This power-packed album is full of mesmerizing melody and lyrics—definitely shoulder-rolling, head-nodding, and feet-tapping, while being transported in soul and spirit to kneel before God’s Awesomeness in absolute surrender of tremendous joy that can only come from the deepest communion and fellowship from a genuine place of worship, manifested by shouts of praise, jumps …
