Cover Reveal ~ Half-Blood by Jaye L. Knight

The Half-blood cover is one of the most beautiful covers I’ve ever seen! So imagine my surprise when I inquired, and the author, Jaye, told me she designed it (and all the other covers of the Ilyon Chronicle books) herself. My respect for Jaye increased tenfold. Now, before you go rushing off to hire Jaye, I sadly announce that Jaye doesn’t design commercially. Disappointed? I know how you feel. Because, this truly, is an exotic cover. So come with me and let me introduce you to the latest cover in the Ilyon Chronicles Series! About the Book The gasps and murmuring grew. Though some were hardly more than whispers, clear words reached Jace’s ears—dangerous, monster, animal, soulless. He tried to back away from their accusing eyes, but the collar pulled hard against his throat and held him in place. For all his years as a slave, Jace has known nothing but the hatred people hold for his mixed blood—one half human, the other half the blood of a race considered monsters. Always, he is the …

Well, today we’re revealing the cover of this new novella, and folks, this one is to die for (please excuse my choice of words!). So, here we go …  Now you have to admit, this is a truly sweet cover. How doesn’t this put a smile on your face? Impossible! This cover speaks of summer fading into autumn. You can tell by not only the sky and flowers in their hands, but by also the cloths they’re wearing. Yep, there’s a nice chill in the air. The font colors are a simple white, but the lovely sweetheart that dots the italicized ‘i’ in the title is the heart of it and promises a sweet story. I love the train tracks! There’s something about them. They speak of a journey that two people will take which will change their lives forever … and for the better, too. Doesn’t that make you want to read their story? …

Hello dear friends! It’s good to be back! Yesterday was the official cover reveal day for this book, but thankfully, Jaye said it would be okay to reveal it today. Thank you, Jaye, for inviting me to this party! And to the other bloggers, it’s fun to do this with you! I, personally, have been waiting for this book and I can’t wait to read it as book #1 was truly amazing. This is one series with much to offer and will take any fantasy reader to a delightful place. If you haven’t read book #1, Resistance, then you should do so. You won’t regret it. Read my review of Resistance here. And to present the cover … So, the cover has an old-torn-paper-like top  that clearly is the signature header for the Ilyon series books, which I think is unique and cute. There’s black over the upper half of the cover (will share my thoughts on that in a minute), and there’s old, beautiful wood, giving the sense of something that is—yeah—old and pleasantly …
