Bearing The Marks Of Christ

Every day the world becomes bolder in its rebellion against God and the order in which He created life to exist. It seemingly extends a hand of friendship with the aim to seduce you into its lifestyle, using alluring tactics that promise solidarity, peace and freedom. Sadly, within the world’s version of these very elements lie a web that entangles and causes one to compromise Scriptural principles, and therefore, rebel against God. Galatians 6 exposes the truth of what the world does. Verse 12 says, “Be circumcised that you may not be persecuted.” Back in Paul’s day, being a circumcised Jew meant you truly belonged to society and could be welcomed into the elite group. Today, the rules are different. Christians are required to be more tolerant and receptive of things that Scripture forbids. Refusing to be socio-culturally “circumcised” may put you in a position to be persecuted. According to the second half of verse 17, however, we’re told that we bear the marks of Jesus Christ in our bodies. Yes, so we should be …

Album Review ~ Hope Rising By Central Music

Category Religious/Christian Genre Contemporary Praise/worship Release Date November 15, 2017. Rating 4 Stars Review Hope Rising by Central Music, as the title implies, inspires hope and faith in the hearts of its listeners and to give glory to God. The music, in a beautiful way, is generally soft, and its lyrics, as gentle as its instrumentals are soft—a lovely combo to produce a different kind of Contemporary Praise/worship. Song Review ~ Mirage By Platon Emil & Stefan Nixdorf (Feat.Landry Cantrell & Kristen Hicks)

Kristen Hick’s, sister to Kelsey (wife of Landry Cantrell), joins Landry Cantrell and producers, Platon Emil & Stefan Nixdorf on a new track titled, Mirage. Genre Pop Release Date October 20, 2017. Rating 4 Stars Review Mirage speaks of a place of darkness, but also of awakening. The metaphorical presentation, while emphasizing a phase of life where a person exists in a delusional world, also speaks of a moment of revelation: when things are made clear. Though the lyrics don’t directly point to one of Christian, it’s candor message reflects what everyone goes through at one (or more) point in their life. The instrumentals are soft and easy on the ears and do not overpower the singing, making it an overall pleasant song. Listen to Mirage

I Am Daniel

When you’ve been selected along with your peers for an enviable position, the natural tendency is to want to empress your superiors. You wouldn’t want to do anything that would jeopardize your chances. And if your moral compass isn’t what it should be, you might even consider compromising certain ethics and principles to make sure that your position is secure. But Daniel wasn’t like that at all. He took note of the fact that the food and wine being supplied to them were sacrificed to the Babylonian god before being served on the king’s table, and knew that to eat it would be to defile himself before God. Aware that it might offend the king and his eunuchs, he took the bold step of requesting for vegetables and water instead. In the end, along with Shedrach, Meshach, and Abednego, he offered a solution that worked for all and honored God. Daniel understood that if God could grant him the favor of being selected by the king, then God could also keep him in the king’s …
