Album Review ~ God So Good By Life.Church Worship

Category Religious/Christian Genre Contemporary Worship/Praise Release Date September 20, 2019. Rating 4 Stars Review Life.Church Worship stirs up a celebration with this brilliant, yet spiritually uplifting release. The instrumentals at various moments turned out to be pleasantly surprising in a classicly unique way, so that the music altogether is filled with God’s glory and inspires praise, joy, and enjoyment. The heart of God So Good celebrates God as the center of our life and that He is the ONLY One worthy to be praised and worshipped. God So Good showcases the ultimate vision/mission of Life.Church and its worship team—the principle by which they’ve come to be known—that life and truly living begins with God. *Though I offer this review to the public, it is my opinion and simply that. Much appreciation to DREAM GM, Lance Brown and DREAM Label Group/DREAM Worship for a free album copy in exchange for an honest opinion.  About Life.Church Worship Life.Church Worship is a collective of worship pastors from Life.Church, a multi-site church meeting at 33 physical locations in 10 …

Album Review ~ Control Vol. 2 By Joel Vaughn

Category Religious/Christian Genre Urban Pop Rating 5 Stars Review Control Vol. 2 begins with such energy and vibes that prepare the heart and soul for worship and praise, as is mirrored in the opening song, Unreserved. Joel Vaughn brings the flavor unique to him that breathes passion and unreserved surrender to a God he believes in, and this shines through in his voice and music. It’s impossible to miss—and almost unforgivable not to mention—the undeniable growth of the singer and songwriter in Vaughn. The increased confidence in craft is evident, amiable, contagious, and inspiring, as though Vaughn not only knows what He is about, but believes the truth preached in his music, lives by them, and now offers them to the world. Since Control Vol. 2 picked up from where Vol. 1 left off (read the TBAP review here), the same theme runs through—Letting Go and Letting God, which is the best decision any individual could ever make. The songs portray various situations and circumstances where faith may be tested, and the believer is reminded …

Album Review ~ Daydreamer By Matthew Parker

Category General Genre Pop Release Date October 26, 2018. Rating 4.5 Stars Review Matthew Parker’s Daydreamer opens with the eclectic Alice, an invitation to a musical journey inspired by a heart rich with much to say about life, which is the undertone expressed throughout the album in a myriad of ways. The beauty of Daydreamer album—as showcased by the song, also, by which the album is titled—is that it highlights the truth that Christians, like everyone else, live in a world where each individual is exposed to multiple experiences that come together to build the individual into the person that they are—love, dreams, friendship, mistakes, faith, hope, heartbreak, sorrow etc. And in the midst of the lyrics and the music, is a signature blend which brings to the music scene a quintessential pop quality unique to Parker and Parker alone. Parker hits his notes with such beautiful melodious ease and impressive skill that it is nothing short of outstanding. Daydreamer is an album that invites the listener to experience the highs and lows while maintaining …

Album Review ~ Control (Vol. 1) By Joel Vaughn

Category Religious/Christian/Inspirational Genre Pop Release Date July 27, 2018. Rating 4.5 Stars Review Timely. Deep. Sincere…are just a few words to describe Joel Vaughn’s remarkable forthcoming release, Control Vol. 1. The maturity with which Vaughn speaks his truth is inspirationally amiable and garners respect. It takes growth and humility to confess one’s truth and messy experiences in such a way that in the end, it highlights peace, gratitude, hope, and joy…and, yeah, it’s no wonder Vaughn chooses to close the album with a number titled Joy. Every song is clearly prayerfully written, packed with powerful candor, and track arranged in a manner to speak a message of life, peace, hope, and rest that can be found only in Jesus. In the midst of this awesomeness that chronicles a peculiar season where God pulls down pride, false humility and lovingly builds this individual with the perseverance that fosters character, and adds the peace, rest, and joy that comes only from genuine faith brought forth from drilling trials, please pay attention to track #4, Back Where I …
