Movie DVD Review ~ Saving Faith By Lionsgate

About the Movie Saving Faith revolves around Faith Scott and her Uncle Donny. Faith is the Executive Director of the Ritz Theater in the small Tennessee town of Clinton. After years of struggle to keep the doors open it looks like it might be time to shut them for good. In one last ditch effort to keep the theater alive, Faith and Uncle Donny look to put together a big Christmas show…in June. Using his connections, that Faith knows nothing about, Uncle Donny is able to book a big time headliner for the show – Vince Gill and Amy Grant. Peter Marsh is a local business man in Clinton that has been waiting for the Ritz to go under so he can buy it cheap from the bank and sell it to a big time developer. When he hears about the Vince Gill/Amy Grant show, he pulls out all the stops to make sure the show does not go on. Uncle Donny, Faith and their friends and family pull together to make sure that they …

Song Review ~ White Noise By CASS feat. Chris Howland

Category Religious/Christian Genre Pop/Rock Release Date August 10, 2018. Rating 4.5 Stars Review CASS’s White Noise is a love song of appeal to God, showing the singer’s passion, zeal, and need for a relationship with God as their lover. This is what it means for Jesus to be the Groom, and us, the Bride, an aspect of the Christian faith not emphasized enough. White Noise shows the earnest pursuit of love and intimacy with God, which is a desperately needed message in music today.

Respecting The Creation You Were Meant To Be By Irene Santiago

“They cannot take away our self respect if we do not give it to them.” ― Mahatma Gandhi Dear Younger Me, I can only speak from my personal work experience in the film industry. No matter what your profession,  circumstance, or age, your character is a reflection of the choices you make. Thank goodness there is grace. I often tell my own kids and my acting students  to make the decision of who they  are now, as well as what their standing values are, before they get pressured by the world and peers. I discuss with them to make smart, informed choices regarding tough decisions now that they’re not pressured by others who do not have your best interest at heart, because there will always be consequences. You only get one you, and you will be recognized for your personal character and actions for all time and “internet eternity.” Let me tell you a little story about  my “BIG DECISION.” Years ago, in the year B.K., (B.K. = Before Kids), I was new to the …

Actor Scoop! ~ Interview with Alexa Jansson

A few weeks ago, I reviewed the wonderful movie, Fragile World. Today, I’m interviewing its lead actress, Chloe ‘Alexa Jansson’ Russell. Follow our chat below and learn more about this lovely lady! Miranda ~ Hello Alexa! Delighted to have you here at TBAP. Could you please tell us a bit about yourself? Chloe Alexa ~ Delighted to get your invite!  I’m an actress from Ohio, living in Los Angeles. I’ve been acting professionally since 2003.  Besides acting, I love animals, music, and dancing.  I’ve been eating vegan for the past 9 months.  I see it as a ‘thank you’ to all the animals who’ve supported my health so far. I also don’t want to support some of the cruel factory farm practices.  I’m not saying all farms are cruel.  I had ACL reconstruction of my knee in April from a dancing injury.  All the new muscle I’ve built since my surgery has been from plant-based protein. I’m kinda proud of that.  I also like to make sculpture.  Lately, I’ve been making large, sculptural birthday cakes with …

The (Unreal) Fantasy of the World of Entertainment, Fashion & Sports

I’m a huge fan of Hawaii Five-O, and I think Alex O’Loughlin, Scott Caan, Grace Park, Daniel Dae Kim, and Masi Oka do a fantastic job of keeping the show relatively funny, action-packed, and interesting. While watching season 3, episode 9, a secondary character—a model—said to Daniel Williams (Scott Caan), “People think that the life we live is real, but they don’t realize we’re paid to sell a fantasy” (paraphrased). Unfortunately, many folks don’t realize this is true. They see all that glamor, fame, and money, and take what entertainment TV has to offer as the gospel. I’m not in the world of entertainment, fashion or sports, but I’ve been allowed a peek into it by some few good folks, who are. What I’ve learned? It’s not all cheeses, roses, and unicorns (even though reality TV insists it’s so). Anyone who tells you that is lying to you or trying to sell you something. Yes, there are blessings that come from being successful in each of these industries, and there are probably people whose lives …
