Album Review ~ Sweetness & Sorrow By Jonny Diaz

Category Religious/Christian Genre Rock Release Date June 8, 2018. Rating 4.5 Stars Review A baring of the soul, the truth of the gospel, a love song, an encouragement to a brother/sister—all these are entwined in the album’s whole to produce a revealing cascade of what Christian living is all about. The thoughtful lyrics are clearly born from a place of soulful depth and is inescapably thought-provoking, so that you nod your head in acknowledgment of its truth as you meditate and enjoy the overall high quality music. There couldn’t have been better words than “Sweetness” and “Sorrow” to merge together to describe the essence of this album—not that it denotes any form of tragedy, but that in the realness of life, though the two are mingled together, with Jesus in the center of it all, the overall outcome is blessed faith, increased love, and greater hope. You can’t miss these three in the music of Sweetness & Sorrow.

Album Review ~ Seasons By Chris August

Category Religious/Christian Genre Pop/Blues Release Date June 1, 2018. August’s music reflects his deep passion for God and music—no turning back! The metaphors in the lyrics are stunningly accurate in the way they reveal the truth of the soul that yearns for God, but is powerless on its own. You can clearly see that the Seasons Album is a love song between August and Jesus. Pay attention to Delivery and Moonlight songs—so beautiful! Definitely wow-worthy. In my opinion, Chris August’s Seasons is the hottest drop yet on the Christian music scene this 2018. Indescribably lovely! Unbelievably stunning! About Chris August I love writing, producing and mixing music. I started on an old 4-track tape recorder when I was 15 and never stopped. My new record, Seasons, is a little unlike any other record I’ve done. I didn’t have a certain theme or sound in …

Album Review ~ Your Love Remains By The Rock Music

Category Religious/Christian Genre Contemporary Worship/Praise Release Date March 16, 2018. Rating 4 Stars Review There’s a calm attitude to the worship and praise of The Rock Music’s Your Love Remains album. Its simple lyrics carry the ever profound message of God’s goodness, love, and faithfulness—and this simplicity doesn’t in any way belie the depth of this message. An interesting observation worth mentioning is the light music/instrumentals that Rock Music is uniquely known for, which blends softly and beautifully with the melody, so that neither—melody and music—is too much for the other, but both are powerfully combined and enough to inspire heartfelt worship in the heart of the listener. If you’re in the market for an album with a gentle atmosphere that perpetuates serenity and tranquility in heart and in spirit, and to depths that run deeply enough to calm the soul in the midst of genuine worship, Your Love Remains by Rock Music is your ticket to such a worshipful experience—as its wonderful lyrics simply but firmly remind the child of God of their place …
